Korean Beginner Language Class

BSSC is an organization that provides an activity for boarders in BINUS Square. One of the activities came from Language and Culture Division that offered Korean Language Class. The first Korea Language Class started on 20 October 2016 with more than 45 participants joined the class. The aim of this class is to improve boarder’s Korean language, in order to know the culture of Korea and have a lot of friends, not only from Indonesia but also from Korea.

There were 2 types of Korean Class, Korean Beginner class and Korean Intermediate class. Korean Beginner Class was best suit for boarders who wanted to learn from the beginning, which learn Hangul, basic daily Korean conversation and games.

BSSC provided 4 teachers for Korean Beginner Class whom all of them are student exchange from Korea. The Korean Beginner class teachers were Yeajin Jeon, Areum Oh, Minji Bae, and Yeeun Ha. The classes took place at BS302 with 2.5 hours in duration, starts from 7:30 PM until 10 PM.

During the class, we learn not only materials but the teachers also provide games and sometimes they did karaoke, so the students did not get bored easily. There is something different from the previous Koren Beginner Class, our HOT (Hangout Together) not only  gathered and ate meal together, but we also did karaoke. Which increase the excitement in our last meeting. In the end of the class, the teachers prepared something to gave to their students, as a symbols in hope that they can remember this Korean Beginner Class.

This year by looking at our questionnaire that we gave to participant, Korean Language Class got a positive response and great result. Both happy and sad in the same time were felt by the teachers and students because the class has ended,  The Korean Beginner Class have made a lot of unforgettable memories and great friends. BSSC hope that the next Korean Language Class can progress further and can have more things to learn by increasing the number of participant and other new material.
