Fundraising BSSC Social Act ‘Social Act’

BSSC is an organization which operates in BINUS Square. There’s many division in BSSC including Social and Art Division. This year, BSSC held a new collaboration event between Art and Social Division which name is Social Act. The theme of this year’s event is “Social Hero”. Therefore, we decide to help RPTRA Amanah Bunda and Paskalis Clinic.

To help the RPTRA and Paskalis Clinic, we need to gather donation such as money, unused clothes, and many more. The money will be used to buy the equipment that we need. Not only that, but we will also donate the money to a social organization. There’s a special division in our committees called Fundraising Division. It’s their job to gather donation by performing live music in public. We’ve performed 7 times to gather donation in 3 places: Bundaran HI, Maria Bunda Karmel Church, and BINUS Square. We really do enjoy the moment when we’re performing together by singing and playing guitar. At first, it feels really hard to gather the donation, but we don’t give up. We keep singing and performing and give it our all. Little by little people keep coming and donate their money. It feels thrilling whenever people come and donate their money. It is proven that people still do care about others. Not only that, there’s also many people who donated a ton of their unused clothes, pants, books, and bags. This is a big surprise for us because our target was only to collect dozens of unused stuff, but we succesfully gathered over 300 unused items and we had already donated it to a few social organizations. We really appreciate the people who kindly donate their stuff to us.

Through this activities, we realize that there are still so many good people out there who wants to donate their money and their stuff to other’s who need it. Because of their good will, we managed to accumulate Rp1.783.000,- in total for fundraising, Rp1.965.000,- in total for donation, and 355 pieces of items. We also thank you to the volunteers who helped us perform in public. We will make sure to donate this money and this stuff to those who really need it.
