Catch your audience\u2019s interest by telling them succinctly what you are going to tell them during the presentation. Here are some tips for the opening of the pitch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Today, I am going to\u2026<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>\u2026take a look at the recent boom in online sales.<\/li>\n<li>\u2026tell you why our product is in high demand.<\/li>\n<li>\u2026show you financials to back this up.<\/li>\n<li>\u2026summarise the main reason why we have a competitive edge.<\/li>\n<li>I\u2019ll begin by&#8230;<\/li>\n<li>\u2026 giving you an overview of current trends.<\/li>\n<li>\u2026outlining our policy on bad debt.<\/li>\n<li>\u2026commenting on our current sales figures.<\/li>\n<li>And then I\u2019ll move on to\u2026<\/li>\n<li>\u2026highlight why customers buy our products.<\/li>\n<li>\u2026focus on the reasons we stand out in the marketplace.<\/li>\n<li>\u2026put all of this into perspective in relation to current market trends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Presentation Delivery<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Delivery refers to the way in which you deliver your presentation. Delivery is a vital aspect of all presentations. Delivery is at least as important as content, especially in a multi-cultural context.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Nerves<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Most speakers are a little nervous at the beginning of a presentation. So it is normal if you are nervous. The answer is to pay special attention to the beginning of your presentation. First impressions count. This is the time when you establish a rapport with your audience. During this time, try to speak slowly and calmly. You should perhaps learn your introduction by heart. After a few moments, you will relax and gain confidence.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><strong>Body Language <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Body language can make all the difference between a dull, static presentation and a dynamic, engaging one. Of course, body language has many different elements, and so we\u2019ve broken it down into five categories:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify\">\n<li>Facial expressions<\/li>\n<li>Eye contact<\/li>\n<li>Posture<\/li>\n<li>Gestures<\/li>\n<li>Position and movement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">This is a good step to practice your \u201celevator pitch.\u201d If your business is a project management company, you can ask something like: \u201cWhat\u2019s your biggest project management pain point?\u201d A hook will also lift your audience\u2019s interest, signalling for others to listen to you.
