Salah satu teknik keselamatan berkendara yang utama adalah pengembangan sistem diagnostik kendaraan. Penelitian sebelumnya mempresentasikan sistem manajemen dan pelacakan kendaraan berbiaya rendah, yang menggunakan diagnostik on-board (OBD) untuk mengumpulkan parameter unit kontrol elektronik (ECU) dan mengirimkan informasinya ke perangkat seluler melalui Bluetooth. Kemudian, informasi tersebut diunggah ke pabrik perawatan kendaraan melalui jaringan seluler. Penelitian sebelumnya yang dipresentasikan mengembangkan teknik komunikasi nirkabel tingkat transmisi rendah daya rendah jarak jauh, bernama LoRa, yang mengadopsi pita bebas global. LoRa didasarkan pada modulasi chirp spread spectrum (CSS), yang mampu penetrasi tinggi, tahan terhadap multi-path fading, dan Doppler. Sangat cocok untuk transmisi bergerak. Dibandingkan dengan komunikasi nirkabel 3G\/4G, LoRa memiliki komunikasi nirkabel jarak jauh tanpa penyebaran base station (BS) yang intensif untuk mengurangi jalan buntu komunikasi.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-8410\" src=\"http:\/\/binus.ac.id\/bandung\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/Feature-Image-43.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"414\" height=\"296\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">Gambar 1. Propose i-car<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">sistem diagnostik jarak jauh di kendaraan, gateway LoRa sebagai konsentrator, dan platform cloud sebagai server jaringan. Sistem diagnostik jarak jauh di dalam kendaraan mencakup modul LoRa, Arduino (Uno), dan jembatan OBD-II. Jembatan OBD-II dapat membaca beberapa informasi kendaraan untuk mendeteksi apakah tidak normal (seperti suhu pendingin terlalu tinggi). Dan kemudian mengirimkan informasi kendaraan yang tidak normal dari OBD-II ke Arduino oleh UART. Ketika informasi kendaraan abnormal terdeteksi, kejadian abnormal akan segera dikirim ke gateway LoRa melalui modul Arduino dan Lora. Selanjutnya, gateway LoRa mengirimkan informasi kendaraan yang tidak normal ke platform cloud untuk merekam kejadian abnormal melalui Ethernet. Selain itu, pencatatan kejadian abnormal dapat diberikan ke pabrik perawatan kendaraan. Antarmuka pengguna disediakan untuk melihat status gateway LoRa, termasuk versi sistem, log sistem, faktor penyebaran gateway LoRa yang digunakan, dan band multi-channel gateway LoRa. Selain itu, alamat paket yang ditransfer perlu diatur oleh sistem internal.
