“Fix Your Past, Today!” Seminar
BSSC just held its second seminar on June 13rd 2017 at Oak Room, BINUS Square. Every year, BSSC held at least 2 internal seminars to train the soft skills of its members. HRD Division has already held the first Seminar themed “Craft Your Future, Now!”. The Seminar II is all about fixing our past. The purpose of this seminar is to use our past as our strength and experiences rather than seeing it as something that is fixed and rigid.
“Fix Your Past, Today!” is the topic that was brought by our speaker Peter Wijaya from Jobsmart. Peter Wijaya is the Co-Founder of Jobsmart, a company that works as a third party to help jobseekers and job finders met. He was majoring Psychology in BINUS University. He launched his start-up on September 2012 and has experienced many ups and downs since 2008. He was working in Human Resources field and became an expert in employers branding. His experiences and knowledges felt close to what us as university students felt right now. Therefore, participants were really enthusiasts in the Q&A session. The 2-hours long seminar seems to be not enough to quench the thirst of curiosity of the participants. Questions like how to choose between two things that we skilled the most and discussion from one of the participants about his effort to build his own startup became two of the best question that day. The best question got a souvenir from Jobsmart in the form of pillow.
While there were some questions left unanswered, the participants were really satisified with the seminar. This can be proved by the rate of satisfaction of 96.1 % from our questionnaires and some even asked that seminar like this should be held more frequent. We from HRD Division really proud of the seminar programs and hope that this program will help BSSC members to achieve higher in their life, regardless in personal life or professional life in college or after graduation.
